BarkFind launches on the App Store: find places that genuinely suit your dog

Weston-super-Mare, 13 October 2026

BarkFind, a new iPhone app for finding places that are good with dogs, is available on the UK App Store from today.

Plenty of cafés and pubs say dogs are welcome. Fewer say whether there's room under the table, whether the garden is enclosed, or whether a nervous dog will be sat next to the door all afternoon. BarkFind sets out to answer those questions, using reviews from dog owners who have been there, with their dog.

Each owner sets up a profile for their dog: size, temperament, how they cope with busy rooms. BarkFind then shows the places that suit that dog, not just the ones that allow dogs in. Owners can also ask Mylo, the app's assistant, things like "a quiet pub near Clevedon with a garden" and get a straight answer.

BarkFind was built by Josh Holder in Weston-super-Mare, around his own dog, Mylo, a reactive Vizsla who can't settle in every room he walks into.

"I spent years phoning ahead and still getting it wrong," said Josh. "A sticker in the window tells you a dog is allowed in. It doesn't tell you whether your dog will be comfortable. That's the bit I wanted to fix."

BarkFind is free to download and browse. BarkFind Pro, which adds search, Mylo and personalised recommendations, costs £5.99 a month or £39.99 a year, with a 14-day free trial. The first 100 people to take the annual plan pay £19.99 for their first year.
