Treats are our way of saying thank you. Every review you leave helps another owner work out whether they can bring their dog, and the more you add, the more you save on BarkFind. The app is on the App Store, and Treats are live with it.
How you earn points
You earn points for reviews, and a fuller review is worth more:
1 point
An approved review: your paw rating and a quick verdict on the place.
2 points
Write a bit about your visit (40 characters or more) and the same review is worth two points. Photos are welcome, but they don't change the points.
A sentence or two about your visit earns double. Only approved reviews count, and reviews are moderated.

What you get depends on your plan, because a percentage off doesn't make much sense on a single yearly bill. Same points, same 90-day window, different treat.

50 points: a year free
Reach 50 points for a year free. These points never expire. One per account. If you're on monthly, it moves you onto the annual plan.
How claiming works
You claim in the app under Profile, then Treats. Here's what happens for each reward:

Open the Profile tab, then Treats, and claim the reward you've reached.
Monthly discounts
Apple applies the discount to your next payment. There's no code to enter and no voucher to keep. Once every 90 days.
Annual extensions
Applied straight away. Your renewal date moves out, and you'll see the new date in the app.
A year free
On annual, your next payment moves twelve months later. On monthly, it starts a free year on the annual plan, which then renews at the annual price.
How often you can claim. On monthly, one discount every 90 days, counted from the last one you claimed. On annual, one extension a month, up to three a year. Claiming doesn't use up your points.
Up to three extensions a year. Apple allows a maximum of three subscription extensions per person per year, so annual members can claim at most three times in twelve months.
Questions
How do I earn points?
Every approved review earns 1 point. Write 40 characters or more about your visit and that review is worth 2 points instead. A sentence or two is all it takes.
Do my reviews need photos?
No. A description of 40 characters or more is what earns the second point. Photos are welcome and they help other dog owners, but they don't change your points.
What counts towards a point?
An approved review of a dog-friendly place you've genuinely visited. Reviews are moderated, so only approved ones earn points.
What if my review isn't approved?
Then it doesn't earn points. Reviews are moderated, and anything found to be fake, spammy or manipulated may have its rewards withheld or revoked. See our Terms of Use.
Do points expire?
Points for the 10 and 20 point treats count for 90 days from the day you post the review, once it's approved. Points towards the year free never expire.
Who can claim Treats?
Anyone with a paid BarkFind subscription through the App Store. If you're on a free trial, your points count from your first review, and treats start once your trial becomes a paid subscription. Premium given as a gift or through a partnership earns points but can't be used for treats.
What if my subscription ends?
Your points keep counting. If you've earned a treat, you can use it to come back for less: 25% or 50% off a month, once every 90 days.
I'm on the annual plan, how does a discount work for me?
It doesn't. A percentage off a single yearly bill wouldn't come to much, so annual members get time added to their subscription instead: 30 days at 10 points, 90 days at 20. The year free at 50 points is the same for everyone.
What if a claim doesn't arrive?
Email info@barkfind.com and we'll sort it out. Nothing is lost: if a claim fails, the points stay on your account and you can claim again.
